President’s Message
Thank you to all the nominees for stepping forward in the interest of helping this community and the members who took the time to vote in this year’s LLCRAS Officers and Directors Election. This was the first year for introducing an electronic ballot along with traditional paper ballot choices. The majority of the voters embraced the electronic system.
I ran for President, unopposed. Others had tougher battles. The VP race between Brenda Borri and Maureen (Moe) Morris (past Secretary); with both persons having long time service and ties to Loon Lake made this a tough choice for Loon Lakers. Maureen became the new VP which has been a vacant position since July 5, 2020. Kimm Davis is moving from Director to Secretary, unopposed. Brenda Harrison will continue on as Treasurer, unopposed. Staying on for another term as Directors are Mary Ellen Graf, Moira (Mo) Passley, and Gail Smith. Congratulations to all!
New Directors for 2020/2021 are Jenny Gaylard and Susanne Kavalec. Welcome Aboard! This was a very close race with six contenders running for five spots. Although Kimm Akers wasn’t elected Director this year we hope to have her join us on one of the many committees that are looking for volunteers.
After many years of service, Laurie Ladoski has stepped down as a Director. Laurie has been a very valuable asset for the community and she will be dearly missed. We are hoping to see Laurie at our Art Committee gatherings this fall.
We have a lot of talented people in this community and we’ll continue to ask for your support to help us improve on and take care of this beautiful piece of paradise.
