As a society we are firmly committed to helping protect the health and safety of our community. We are living in extraordinary times and the COVID-19 pandemic is something we have never seen or have had to deal with over our lifetimes. The situation around the world continues to change on a daily basis and we are adapting along with it.
In order to keep the community safe during this pandemic the LLCRAS will adhere to the following:
- We are prohibited from permitting the gathering of people in excess of 50 people at a place of which we are an owner, occupier or operator, or for which we are otherwise responsible. Order of the Provincial Health Officer (Pursuant to Sections 30, 31, 32 and 39 (3) Public Health Act, S.B.C. 2008)
- The primary means of preventing the spread of COVID-19 is through physical distancing (keeping 2 meters distance between people).
- Order to travellers returning to Canada requiring self-isolation for 14 days.
- All Community Hall events have been cancelled until further notice.
- There will be no door to door volunteer canvassing for membership fees until further notice.
- We will be implementing a rigorous and diligent cleaning and sanitization protocol at the Community Hall.
- LLCRAS will update the Community via, Newsletters (email/online/mail), Website, Facebook Group, brochures and Community Hall signage.
