Yesterday, Frank Borri, Vice President of the LLCRAS resigned from his position. Frank has offered up his services to this community for many years and will be sadly missed by our Executive and Directors. Frank will continue to help the Loon Lake Community as a Loon Lake Fire Fighter and continues to offer up help to LLCRAS when he can.
LLCRAS wishes to thank Susanne Kavalec for her continued service to our community as our “Sunshine” volunteer. Susanne mails out all types of heartfelt cards to Loon Lakers and can be contacted directly at 250-459-5698 or skavalec@shaw.ca Susanne also assists LLCRAS with getting information onto our sign board at the Community Hall. Susanne recently took over the job of mailing out newsletters to our members who prefer not to use email. LLCRAS recently introduced a Volunteer of the Month Prize Draw; our winner is Les Fraser. Thank you to all the volunteers who continue to assist at Work Bees both inside and outside our community hall; membership collections; grant writing; obtaining necessary quotes, licenses and permits where required etc.

LLCRAS has spent a great deal of time improving our website; www.loonlakecommunity.ca It’s an excellent way to stay current with the Loon Lake Community. We are still looking for people to send in their photos for the photo contest or gallery and would love to hear from people who have information or pictures to share on our History Section.
