Membership Year: January 1st to December 31st
BY-LAWS:
1. Eligibility For Voting Members:
a. Property Owners, lease owners and Term Renters of more than one month (a household) and over the age of 18
2. Eligibility For Non-Voting Members (Associate Members):
a. A person over the age of eighteen, wishing to be a member of LLCRAS, who does not own, lease or rent property at Loon Lake.
Available Memberships:
Voting Memberships criteria as per 1a above
- Family Membership$40.00: A family is defined as a single person or couple and their children over the age of 18.
- Additional Families $40.00: for a second family sharing a household
- Single Adult Membership$20.00 for a single adult who has a household or who is sharing a household
- Life time Membership $0.00
- History:(At the time of construction of our Community Hall a financial appeal was asked of the residents of Loon Lake. A number of full & part time property owners contributed a financial lump sum and thus were awarded “Life Member” status (no further dues applied). Life members have all the same privileges as regular members).
- Life Time Associate Membership $0.00 (For members who have moved off the lake that are no longer property owners.)
Non-Voting Memberships criteria as per 2a above
- Associate Member $20.00. Associate members have all the same privileges as regular members with the exception that they are not eligible to vote.
BY-LAWS:
- Membership ceases upon failure of payment of dues or other causes deemed sufficient by a 2/3 majority of the voting members at a General Meeting.
- Any member may resign at any time upon signifying in writing to the Secretary his or her intention to do so.
- Members in good standing will have one (1) vote with the exception of Associate Members.
Membership fees are based on a calendar year (Jan. 1st – Dec. 31st) of any given year and are due on or before Jan. 1st of that year.
How to Pay your LLCRAS Membership Dues:
- Pay a membership collector during the door to door canvassing
- Pay at Community Hall functions by visiting our membership table
- Send your cheque, payable to LLCRAS to 1705 Loon Lake Road, Cache Creek, BC V0K 1H1
