Bernd Marquardt
October 20th, 1943 – June 12th, 2025
On behalf of the Marquardt family, we are saddened to announce the passing of Bernd Marquardt.
Our deepest condolences to Kathe, (Marlene, Olaf & Lee) and all their 10 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
Born and married in Germany, Bernd arrived in Canada in August of 1965, and Kathe Marquardt followed shortly thereafter. He came to make a better life for his family and make his dream of owning a resort a reality.
Bernd & Kathe purchased White Moose Resort in July of 1984 and for the next 38 years were staples in the Loon Lake Community and incredible hosts at White Moose Resort. They sold in 2023 to enjoy their long-deserved retirement. They celebrated their 59th wedding anniversary in March 2025.
Bernd was an avid hunter and fisherman, loved nature and the great outdoors. He will be missed by many. Forever in our hearts, never forgotten.
