LOON LAKE COMMUNITY RECREATIONAL AND AGRICULTURAL SOCIETY
AGM OCTOBER 30, 2020 – ELECTIONS
OFFICERS AND DIRECTORS PRESENT: President: Karen Macdonald, Secretary: Maureen Morris, Vice President: (resigned), Treasurer: Brenda Harrison.
DIRECTORS: Laurie Ladoski, Gail Smith, Mary Ellen Graf, Moira Passley, Kimm Davis.
Chairperson: Kimm Davis called meeting to order at 9:00 p.m. Quorum of 10 plus 1 in attendance.
Kimm called for Nominations from the floor. President, Vice President, Treasurer, Secretary and Directors three (3) times for each office. No nominations from the floor were made for these offices.
Cathie Johnstone gave the Nomination Committee Report: LLCRAS conducted an electronic election with option for paper ballots for those without computer access.
Part 1: Issuing of Nomination Ballots – Notice of Nomination sent out August 25,
2020 to all eligible members requesting their nominations by closing date of September 15, 2020. All nominees were contacted via telephone by the nomination committee to verify if they accepted their nomination or not. Those accepting their nomination were placed on the official ballot.
Part 2: Issuing of Election Ballots was completed on October 16, 2020 through Election Buddy -Electronic Election (email or cell phone contact) or by mail out for those without computer access.
Election Buddy received 84 returned ballots (53%) and no spoiled ballots. We received back 18 paper ballots from the mail outs.

Motion to destroy the Ballots made. Unanimous vote to destroy.
CITIZEN OF THE YEAR AWARD: LOIS HARPER
Chosen by previous winners; Sid Ward, Bill Salisbury and Jim Burdeyney representing the 2017 Loon Lake Volunteer Fire Fighters. Award presented by Sid Ward to Lois Harper for her exceptional work past and present that she does on behalf of LLCRAS. Brenda Harrison accepted the award on behalf of Lois. Congratulations Lois on your well-deserved award.
